Dressing Up As A Transvestite

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Dressing up as a transvestite is something that should not be confused with crossdressing. While these are basically the same, they are very different when it comes to the actual specifics of it. Being able to know the difference of the two is something that is very important to both crossdressers and transvestites.

Difference
The difference between a transvestite and a crossdresser is a transvestite sees this as an actual gender change. This means that they will take on the mannerisms and the characteristics of the gender that they are dressing like. A crossdresser will simply take on the clothing as the person of the opposite sex and very little else.

What It Means
Dressing up as a transvestite is something that is often done because the person that is dressing up does not feel comfortable as the gender that they are currently. They will typically want to get their gender changed through surgery. Dressing up as a transvestite is something that is typically the first step towards changing their gender entirely.

Passing
A lot of transvestites are worried about “passing” this is something that is very important to them. They will want to be able to be accepted in public as the gender that they are dressing up to be. A crossdresser will typically not go out of their way to look like the gender that they are dressing up as as they are doing it more for a fetish as opposed to a specific lifestyle like a transvestite.

Admitting To A Partner That You Like Crossdressing

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

Admitting to a partner that you like crossdressing is something that may be difficult to do. You will find that there are some people that are not going to be okay with this and they may not want to be with you anymore. However, you may be surprised to find out that your partner is okay with this. You never know until you tell them.

Don’t Wait
The longer that you crossdress behind your partner’s back, the more difficult it will be for them to be able to be supportive and understanding. If you are able to tell a person early on in the relationship then they can make a decision whether or not they wish to continue the relationship. Knowing sooner rather than later is usually better for you both.

Finding Out The Hard Way
The worst way for your partner to find out is for you to simply show them. You will need to make sure that you can sit them down and talk to them about it. Most people will be a lot more susceptible to being talked through it as opposed to surprised and shown without warning.

Explain
You are going to need to be ready to do some explaining whenever you tell your partner that you are crossdressing. They will be confused as to whether or not you are also gay or if you simply prefer to wear clothing of people of the opposite sex. Make sure that you are ready to answer each and every question truthfully.
